🧘 Sunday Meditation
With the AGM starting at 12:30 it is unlikely that the main sala will be clear for meditation by the usual 1:30 start time. Do please join for group meditation at 1:30 but we will meet in the hall over the kitchen with the usual format. Also note the ‘anagarika’ item below… added to the 6pm programme.

👵 Aunty Suan
And it is not every day that our youthful kitchen manager turns 80. After thirteen years of living in the monastery she has finally got it together and is rolling the dice for another decade of dhamma. We had a small party on Friday and the blessings will continue to continue. Our community is so much richer on account of her presence and generous contribution. Sadhu, Anumodana.

💡 Anagarika
Sunday, 19th July; 6pm — Joshua has been with us for a good while now and has asked to become an Anagarika. He has spent time in other monasteries of our tradition so is quite familiar with aspects of the life. The sangha dropped to 3 at the beginning of this year so Joshua is a welcome sign of new growth. We also have Ajahn Ariyasantha back with us for vassa and his gentle presence is appreciated.

🍃 Khao Pansa
Sunday: the 26th 10.00 The full moon before vassa (pansa) is on Wednesday the 29th July. We will have a public celebration to mark the entry into our winter retreat on the preceding Sunday. You are all welcome to come on this day and join with the sangha to bring focus to this special, upcoming period of increased dhamma attention.

🏞 Vassa
The winter retreat period is from Thursday 30th July — Monday 26th October. We will begin with a week of group meditation (30th–5th) and you are all welcome to join us during any of those days. It is a time of quiet and we don’t have work or short-term guests during this period. The general schedule will continue, mostly unchanged, but do check the calendar for variations.
