Anagarika Ordination:Alex took his anagarika precepts on the full moon. His chanting was excellent and his time at the monastery so far has been very happy and harmonious for all. view photos
New Year Retreat:26th Dec. to 2nd Jan. [Friday to Friday] You are welcome to join during the day. Overnight accommodation is now limited to shared space.
New Year’s Eve:Peacefully abide in the Garden of Enlightened Knowing: Bodhinyanarama. Let go of the old and cultivate the new. 7pm ’til 12+ All are welcome. Ajahn Sucitto will give the dhamma talk.
Main Entrance:The gates have been repaired and raised in preparation for resurfacing the entrance and lower carpark area. This is long overdue but most likely won’t happen until some time next year. view photos
Hermitage:This long-term project has moved ahead a little. The pink string laid out by our friend from the Forest & Bird Society has evolved into a track that allows quad access to just below the existing hermitage kuti. The second phase, extending this track to a central flat(ish) area still requires a bit more planning to ensure the best gradient with the least impact. view photos
