Saturday Meditation WorkshopThe first Saturday of every month; March 5th, 1โ5pm. Suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators. A great opportunity to start, re-start, extend, deepen, etc. your meditation practice. The training of the mind is the solution to the problem — any problem.
City MeditationThe first Monday of every month; March 7th, Quaker Meeting House; 7 Moncrieff St. (off Elizabeth, off Kent); 6-8pm. The first meeting went very well and we will build on principles introduced then. Beginners and experienced; all are welcome.
Chao Khun KutiWork has been ongoing around this kuti (just out back of the sala) for the last few years, generally with the aim of providing increased privacy. It has had a double by-pass (as in walking tracks), a latticed privacy screen (soon to be extended) and a re-graded wheelchair access ramp. The next addition is a decked, walking meditation path. This will include a side wall and roof which together provide privacy on the upper side. With the likely possibility of having more visiting senior monks there is also a thought to add an attendants kuti alongside. This idea has been around since the ’90s but has never been felt necessary. Waiting a little longer is just fine ๐ view photos
StillnessThese updates generally cover the action. The non-action, the non-doing, the non-becoming are less reportable. Venerable Aruno did mention several mindful in-breaths. Ajahn Kusalo enjoys the view from his kuti meditation seat; a photo of the view is possible. The enjoyment? You need to be here to enjoy that. The dhamma is unphotographable — unforgetable. Here and now.
