The processing of financial donations to the monastery is surprisingly complex. It is an area requiring obvious care and responsibility and this takes time. Over the last year we have been working on a new system to make it easier for the voluteers who collect, sort, count, categorize, record, bank, receipt, etc. your donations. This last item ‘receipting’ has many variations and we apologise if your receipt for this year has not yet arrived. The system is working well but is not quite finished. Thank you for your patience.

We now have four full-term lay supporters which, with a wider distribution of duties, currently allows there to be three residents on self-retreat. The opportunity to have time for study and mediation is really what this place is for and to see that happening is a delight. The maintenance of Noble Silence and an atmosphere of dhamma practice is a blessing – which you are all most welcome to come and take part in.
