26th April 2014

Songkran:A well attended and joyous event. We set the sala up allowing for quite marginal weather but come lunch time the sun shone down into the cloister and the wind dropped. Auspicious indeed. Ajahn Natawat joined us for the day. Many of the monastery Buddha images were bathed and blessed – as were the monks. view photos
New Kutis:Ready for paint. Almost ready for you. view photos
Ajahn in Oz.:Unfortunately Ajahn Kusalo’s mum is not doing so well and he is spending time in Queensland organising residential care for her. It is not clear how soon he will be back.
Vesak:May 11th. Many of you may remember Ajahn Karuniko from his time at B’rama through the ’90s. We are very fortunate to have him visiting us. Arriving on the 8th he will be with us until the 14th, joining in with our Vesak celebrations.
Winter Meditation Retreat:August Friday 15th to Sunday 24th. The new kutis should be ready.! Still plenty of time but a few people have asked for early warning so they can plan. Register using the Guest Application form on the web site – comment: “Winter Retreat”
