Kathina Season:The robe offering at Bodhinyanarama will on November 3rd. That’s this coming Sunday. We hope to start the program at 9:30. We are expecting quite a crowd so come early for car parking and a place to sit. As I write the roading machines are whirring away in the carpark below finishing the asphalt work ready for your car. Nice.
Labour Weekend Retreat:This was extremely well attended and appreciated by all. The theme of “Non-becoming” found new and insightful meaning for all. Next… the New Year retreat -along with all the other dhamma opportunities between now and then.
Ajahn Ariyasilo:I thought to send this after his arrival this afternoon and to include a few more details of his situation but thought better to remind you of our Kathina-season celebration; earlier rather than later. Ajahn is a much loved and respected friend of the monastery and we are delighted to have him back. We are not sure how long he will be here but the more welcome you make him feel the longer he will want to stay. There will be some photos on the website later on, along with news of his stay.
Kusalacitto:Some of you may remember Souphong? He is due back on the 4th and will be resident here at the monastery for the foreseeable future. One important thing you have to remember is that he is a ‘new’ person. No longer Souphong but now Kusalacitto. A new name is very symbolic of a new life, a new beginning. You can support him by reminding him of that through his name. Practice saying it a few times 🙂 It means the skillful, wholesome mind.
