Dhamma DanaWe have just received a new shipment of dhamma books for free distribution. The weather has been so wet and they are still in the carport but should be on display in the next few days. ToiletA sketch has been produced view photos and some discussion has been had with architect and builders. It will take a while to produce final drawings and get a council permit but is is possible that it may be largely finished before year’s end. Completely finished may take a little longer – you know how it is 🙂
HandrailLargely on the initiative of Mr. Som the ramp from the kitchen to the dhamma sala will be getting a handrail. It will match the style of the kitchen rails and we are hoping that it will be done in time for our Kathina-season celebration on November 8th.
Rainbow RoomThe idea is to create a “Rainbow Room” for young people in the unused space under the workshop. The thought is that the creation of a bright, open area for kids would be a familly project with a few working bees over the coming summer. see: future plans If you are at all interested please email the monastery
ChangeWhat a difference a Bruce makes… Arriving just before the start of vassa he clearly enjoys a bit of morning work. When not helping in the kitchen numerous little, and not-so-little, tidy up and maintenance things are seen to. The wood store under the library now sports order… and a new lock-up shed. A well shared life in the monastery brings many causes for gratitude. view photos
