Ajahn Sudhiro:We were delighted to have an unexpected visit from Ajahn Sudhiro who some of you may know as the founder of Sammapatipadarama monastery in Napier. The time we had with him was far too short but very enjoyable. view photos
Hermitage:Some exploration of the land at the top of the monastery has revealed several potential kuti sites. With those in mind the plan is to plot a trail to give easy walking access through what is now quite dense bush. It is good to take time with this to ensure no trees are cut needlessly and that the best access is established. view photos
Driveway / Carpark:We have been having lots of guests over the summer and one group set to work preparing parts of the driveway ready for the asphalt. Hopefully this will happen very soon and cars skidding or getting stuck in the car park will be a thing of the past. view photos
No BBQ:The Garden Kuti now not only gets direct sunlight but it has a patio. The monastery has almost no flat land but one of those rare spots now resides next to the GK. If you look closely you will see that there is no barbecue. view photos
Dhamma Class:A group of children and parents from the Tawa Dhamma class recently came to the monastery to offer the meal to the Sangha. It is always nice to have young people making the connection with the monastery and taking part in our activities.view photos NB. The Bodhinyanarama Kids class is on 21st April. 12:30
