KATHINA SeasonCelebration. THIS Sunday, November 8th. A joyful gathering to share in the goodness of Dhamma and specifically the ending of the Vassa and the unique opportunity that it represents. A time to meet with old friends and look to meet new. We aim to begin at 9:45am. The main robe offering will be immediately after the meal. All are welcome.
Ajahns ArriveThis Friday Ajahn Sucitto will return to Bodhinyanarama. He will be here for about another month. On the same plane will be Ajahn Khemavaro, the abbot of Wat Buddha Dhamma just out of Sydney. He will be with us for about a week. Details have yet to be finalised but we can look forward to hearing dhamma from them both. Do make a point of coming by.
Saturday MeditationWith our Kathina season celebration the next day there will be quite a bit of business about the monastery preparing for Sunday. With that in mind we thought it best to cancel the Saturday afternoon meditation workshop.
Maintenance ManBruce has been living here now for nearly 4 months and his work input around the monastery is quite visible and much appreciated. We are all happy to have him here and have agreed that he will be the maintenance coordinator for the next year. It is heartening that there are people willing to make a commitment to support the monastery with a long term view. Sadhu.
PhotographerIt is always nice to have photos of various things and events around the monastery. Image supply has been a bit patchy over the years. With digital cameras there is no lack of volume – but, some people just ‘have an eye.’ I have two but they are slightly crossed. Is there anyone who comes on a semi- or regular basis that would like to explore the role?
PhotosA few views of the monastery – albeit through crossed eyes ๐ With the vassa there hasn’t been much overt people doings but nature has been busy. One work project has been the new handrail. This should be finished for our Kathina season celebration.
