New Year

The passing of the xmas / new year season has been a very joyous, happy and fruitful one. The retreat was very well attended by a good mix of new and experienced meditators. New Year’s eve saw the hall tidily packed, with many staying on to join the rituals and ceremonies through the evening ending at midnight. January 1st brought about 150 people to join the rice pindapat down Stokes Valley Road and share a meal together. There has generally been a steady flow of people coming to start the new year at the monastery. view photoss
New Year

2015… may it be filled with much good fortune. May you be happy and well, surrounded by loved ones and friends. May the blessings of the Buddha, the Dhamma and the Sangha protect you. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Ajahn Kusalo

Will be in Thailand for a couple of weeks. A few days in Bangkok to visit Buddha foundries as part of the thought to have a Buddha image at the front entrance of the monastery and to meet monks there. Then to Ratanawan to see Luang Por Sumedho. Then up to Ubon to take part in the annual memorial ceremonies for Luang Por Chah; the actual day being January 16th.
Ajahn Sucitto

Is now officially on retreat in the hermitage kuti. The general plan is that he will be in silence and solitude for a couple of months. After this… something else will happen. Life is uncertain but whatever the turn it is very nice to have him with us here at Bodhinyanarama. The garden (of enlightened knowing) is so much the brighter.
Saturday Mediation Workshop

The first Saturday of every month – 1pm. Suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators.
