Working Bee:Have you ventured recently into the realm below the library? If you’re looking for junk and mess it might be a good idea. There will be a working bee on October 14th to tidy up this whole area: the workshop, garden shed, wood racks and carport. There is a lot to do with a variety of other jobs around the monastery if large numbers turn up.

Guest Bug:There was the case of the disappearing internet button. Rumours are that there be dragons. Ah, but ’tis only a wee spider in the monastery web site guest form. This befuddlement of the bytes has been remedied through the power of dhamma. As much as web pages can be liberated this one has been. Keep a wary eye open o’ ye pilgrims on the path.
Labour W’end Dates:We have been selling it short. It does indeed finish on Monday – Labour Day – which is still the 22nd. The retreat starts on Friday 7pm. Feel free to join all or part of this. Accommodation is quite full but you could go on the waiting list.
A New View:It started out just clearing a bit of undergrowth to make one of John John’s lovely trees a bit more open and visible. Then we thought of a bench – and then… And now, largely due to Heidi and Cameron, we have a nicely planted area with a view across the valley. view photos On the way up to the upper house.
Kathina Season:Sunday the 18th of November. At the end of the vassa, a time for us to express our gratitude to the Buddha, his teachings and the ordained community. We have much at Bodhinyanarama to be grateful for. More detail closer to the time.
