A Buddhist monastery set in a 60 hectare (150 acre) wooded valley near Wellington, New Zealand. Principally a residence for those wishing to participate or train in the monastic lifestyle it is the focus for a thriving Buddhist community of many cultures. The forested area with remote lodgings provides a suitable environment for seclusion. Senior monks offer instruction in meditation, Buddhist principles, retreats and provide traditional religious services.
